How old do you have to be to throw an axe? 

Kids ages 9-17 can throw axes anytime with a participating parent/guardian present and a parent/guardian signature on the waiver form. 

How much does it cost?

Ages 13+: $12 for 30 minutes, $20 for 60 minutes, $30 for 90 minutes

Ages 9-12: $7 for 30 minutes, $15 for 60 minutes, $25 for 90 minutes

Reservations can be made for 60 and 90 minutes & you can walk in anytime for all time slots.

What are Elwood’s open hours?

• Mon & Tues: Closed

• Wed & Thur: 5-10pm

• Friday: 3-10pm

• Saturday: 12-10pm

• Sunday: 2-6pm 

Can people come to watch ? 

Yes! Elwood’s has a giant connect 4, two corn hole lanes, pool table, air hockey, pinball, food, beer, other drinks, and a seating area. 

Will someone teach us?

Yes, before all sessions one of our axe throwing coaches will go over safety and rules and teach you how to throw axes. Coaches will be monitoring the throwing areas throughout the day and are there to offer tips and advice as needed. 

What should I wear?

Closed toe shoes are required to throw axes. 

Can I drink alcohol while I throw axes? 

Yep. We have beer, water, and sodas for sale at the bar. All axe throwers who are drinking alcohol will have a colored wristband. If, at any point, a coach or employee thinks it’s best you sit out for a bit and/or stop drinking you will be asked to do so. 

Do you have private events? 

Yes! Check out our Party With Us Page. We offer 2-5 hour rentals every day of the week. Birthday parties, gender reveal parties, bachelorette and bachelor parties, company gatherings, graduation parties, you name it!  We are ready to throw axes with any group you have. 

Can I bring my own axe?

At this time we do not allow outside axes to be used at Elwood’s. If this is an issue for you just talk to us.
